First established in 1995, NetDay was an event created by John Gage that encouraged companies to commit resources to clinics, schools, and libraries to help connect them to the Internet. The first NetDay was held on March 9, 1996. In the picture, United States President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore are installing networking cable at a California high school.

In 2005, NetDay merged into Project Tomorrow, a non-profit based out of California.
