OLE

  1. Short for Object Linking and Embedding, OLE was developed by Microsoft as a method of sharing information between two or more applications in Microsoft Windows and the Apple Macintosh operating system. An example of how OLE may be used is incorporating a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet into a Microsoft Word document or HTML document.
  2. Short for OnLine English, OLE is an English interface developed by Artificial Intelligence Inc. used to query computer databases using natural English.
  3. Abbreviation sometimes used for Microsoft Outlook Express.
