1. Short for Personal Information Management, PIM is a type of computer software program designed to assist with the organization of data such as phone numbers, telephone numbers, etc... 
2. Short for Protocol Independent Multicast, PIM is a router multicast protocol that distributes data across a wide network of computers. For example, PIM may be used to distribute a live broadcast of a video.
