Printer head

In a computer dot matrix printer or other impact printer, a printer head is the pins that strike the ink ribbon against the paper to generate the printed image.

Note: With a computer inkjet printer, a printer head is the nozzle that places the ink on the printer. Computer laser printers do not have printer heads.
