Short for Ringing Tone
Text Transfer Language, RTTTL is a language developed by
Nokia that allows someone to
create their own ringtone using a series of commands that produce
any number of different synthesized sounds already available on the
cell phone. With newer phones this
language, similar languages, and other MIDI ringtones are quickly
being replaced with better sounding MP3
ringtones.
