Sampling

  1. Sampling is a step used in converting an analog signal to a digital signal.
  2. When referring to a video or moving image, sampling is the process of taking multiple still images and combining and playing those images at a high rate of speed causing those images to be animated.
  3. When referring to audio, sampling refers to the process of taking a segment of a sound and playing it at a high rate of speed, causing a continuous sound.
