Sizing handle

Windows sizing handleAlternatively referred to as a handle, sizing grip, or resize corner, the sizing handle is a graphical indicator in a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that allows users to click and drag on the indicator to resize the object. For example, many windows in Microsoft Windows have a sizing handle in the lower right corner of the window, indicating that it can be clicked on and dragged to resize the window. In the picture to the right, is an example of what this may look like in Microsoft Windows.

Pictures of handlesWhen working with an image editor image editors, handles are small black boxes on each corner of an image that allow the user to increase the size horizontally, vertically, or both. As can be seen in the example picture to the left, this image editor has eight handles, one on each corner and in-between each corner of the image.

To adjust the size of an image, window, or other object using the handles move the cursor over the handle until you see a double-headed arrow. While the double-headed arrow is visible click the mouse button and while holding the mouse button drag in the direction you want.
