Sleep

  1. A state of low-power inactivity commonly found on many computers and peripherals today. Sleep is a mode that the computer enters after being inactive for a set amount of time. Commonly, this mode will turn off a device or set it into a standby mode to help conserve electricity.
  2. Linux / Unix command available in some variants. See the sleep command page for further information about this command.
  3. Downloadable file for MS-DOS that allows batch files in MS-DOS / Windows to sleep for x amount of seconds. See the batch file help page for further help.
