VIRUS INFORMATION
03/01/2001 - Affects users using the free music sharing service
Gnutella the Gnutella worm or known as the
"proof-of-concept" worm, is demonstrating how computers
connected to peepr-to-peer (P2P) networks are vulnerable to such
mischief
SYMPTOMS
The program copies itself as a hidden file to the startup file
under the name GSPOT.EXE.
Monitors computer's network connection
HOW TO DETECT VIRUS
Verify that GSPOT.EXE is not present on the computer and ensure the
computer has the latest virus protection data information.
