    X64 or X86 ?????

    I`m trying to install a program but it comes in 2 versions,one with "x64 msu" the other with "x86 msu" at the end.
    How do I find out which I should take\choose ???

    If you are running a 64bit version of Windows choose the X64 ver...
    If not use the X86...
    Either way both should install and run.

      well..

      a 64-bit compiled app won't  run on 32-bit windows...
      I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

      It works the other way though- 32-bit programs run on 64-bit, of course.

      People have been giving me a wide berth ever since I tried to start a game show based on the land of Narnia called, "the Lion is in witch wardrobe?" In retrospect I probably should not have used an actual lion, and perhaps I should have fed it before the fateful rehearsal... And Of course the trainer neglected to mention that this particular lion became enraged when placed into small dark places, like wardrobes.

      Or maybe it was because of that time I was trying to train a donkey to ride a unicycle? I'd try asking people but I can never catch them.
