    Overheating System
    « on: March 25, 2010, 03:15:06 AM »
My system reboots unexpectedly, and I believe this is due to overheating. I only have this problem in the spring and summer time when the area I keep my computer is anywhere between 70F and 100F+. I have a full tower with lots of open space on the inside as well as 5 fans (Haven't looked into if they have the best air flow setup or not). My problem is that the computer's cooling system is air and where my computer is located the air isn't anywhere close to cool. My question is if I should go ahead and upgrade my cooling system (Either air or liquid cooling) or if I could go out and buy a portable air conditioner and stick that sucker next to my computer and be done with it. Keeping budget in mind I've looked around and I think I can get a descent air conditioner for around 150$. Also I personally would just like to but an air conditioner and stick that sucker by my computer and be done with it, but if it could cause negative effects on my system I'd like to know. I'd be okay with installing a few more fans and looking up how to get the best air flow, but I'm not sure I could install a liquid cooling system my myself. That's all if you need any more information just ask and I'll provide it. Thanks to anyone who can provide useful information.

A small desk fan placed by the front is usually sufficient...
DLoad and install SpeedFan and report back with your temps.

What are the temperature sensors showing while the system is under load?

            Not a PSU manufacturer...re-branded.
It's name doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

They use the budget ones when bundled in with a case.
