Ever heard the old term Iced Air?

Yeah, well that's what my in window Haier AC unit has becomith... Basically, the cycle goes like this, it's cooling the room off at night, then when the morning humidity and heat kicks in, the front condenser which is below freezing starts to condensate, that condensation turns to ice, and, well I woke up to an odd noise coming from my AC unit this morning. It was the ice cracking and splitting as it formed but met the warmer than preferred by ice temperature of my room. Hopefully I'll have a camera handy the next time this happens... It is rather amusing but ultimately annoying...

I dunno if this has happened to anyone else here but it does happen... I hate my air conditioner... That's what I get for $100 I guess.

You need to give your A/C a good cleaning. Also are you sure you have the right size A/C for your room.
