    BSOD While Cruising Internet Yesterday
    « on: July 06, 2010, 06:14:06 PM »
    System detail:

    Hewlett Packard m9600t
    Intel Core i7 940 @ 2.93 GHZ
    Windows Vista 64-bit Home
    4 GB RAM
768 MB NvIdia Geforce 9600 GS

    Problem detail:

Last night, I got this BSOD while searching the internet. It has not reappeared. The details in the error popup at startup read:

    Problem signature:
      Problem Event Name:   BlueScreen
      OS Version:   6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
      Locale ID:   1033

    Additional information about the problem:
      BCCode:   3b
      BCP1:   00000000C0000005
      BCP2:   FFFFF96000136697
      BCP3:   FFFFFA600BC32DA0
      BCP4:   0000000000000000
      OS Version:   6_0_6001
      Service Pack:   1_0
      Product:   768_1

The BlueScreenView file is attached to the post.

I was having a problem detailed at http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,104613.0.html that I think might be associated with this. My Yahoo was acting mondo slow and the only reason I wasn't attending to that is that I was primarily searching the internet and trying to get a list of things done for my work.

What is this indicative of? I did an internet search and I found some people speaking of video drivers and others speaking of corrupted .exe files. I thought I'd check with you guys first.

None of my anti-malware software is showing any sort of virus activity, also.

Thanks in advance. You guys are lifesavers. :)

Sorry, for some reason it prematurely posted. See the editted pose. I was like: ??? when it said I had posted it, specifically as I never pressed enter.

      Odd.

      Anyway: Sorry about that again.

What problem? You had a BSOD once. It indicates nothing. Unless you are getting Blue screens frequently or at regular intervals there's no reason to try to become a detective.
