I need help to enable Internet Explorer 6

I need help with Internet Explorer I want to enable the popup that asks you where you want to save the file you are downloading. You know when u click on a download link it pops up and says Open or Save. I accidently clicked on Do Not Ask. So how do I get this back?

Open IE
go to
tools>internet options>advance tab>Browsing>Select Notify when downloads complete

Hmmm I did that and it still like that. Should I try to restart my computer?

Nope still doesn't work....  :-/  i even restarted my computer! Reinstall explorer 6?

Type this in the run box>rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance and chose the repair option....or this>http://www.pegasus-ofs.com/eSupport/using_CHKDSK.htm

I typed in the rundll32 setupwbv.dll and nothing happened. So what now?

Don't reinstall Steven, this has gotta be something silly.
Did you reset ALL the IE Options to default?

yeah! I tried that and still nothing! I don't get it. Do you guys know what im talking about? You know the popup that says "OPEN" "SAVE" and are you sure you want to open this type of file. I clicked do not ask on accident.

I know the screen you mean, I'm tempted to repeat your mistake but not quite enough to do it yet. LOL
OK, I'll do it too then figure out how to undo it.

My download box is ticked and ghosted out so I can't change it

The Always ask before opening this type of file check box is not available for some file types, such as files with the extensions .exe or .com, which run programs or commands. When this check box is not available, you will always be asked before opening this type of file.

Grr I tried to get some Microsoft help but they asked for 35$$ I was like ?*censored* Oh well I guess I might have to reinstall internet explorer.
