Gmail Groups
« on: August 27, 2010, 04:58:28 PM »
I have just received a large list of prospective members for an organization I volunteer for and I want to add them to a gmail group I have created.  Is there a way to add the addresses all at once, or do I have to add them one at a time?

The list was sent to me in a word document.

Thank you.

My thoughts:

  • Copy those addresses from Word to Excel, getting them into a vertical list in Excel.
  • Then, save the Excel file in CSV format.
  • Import that CSV file into Gmail Contacts.

I presume you would need column titles in the CSV file that would be identical to column headings that would be generated by exporting, for example, Contacts from Windows Live Mail or Outlook Express.
