Shame.. I've had an account since you needed an invitation to join (Given one from a mate at work)

However, I rarely used it myself.

Can definitely understand why they've canceled this. Everyone I know who actually had an account (including myself) rarely if ever logged in. Think I logged in a total of three times for the 5+ months I had an account for.

Not really.  I poked around with it a little bit, but never used it in a real world application.

I've used Lotus Notes in the past to help manage projects, and Notes was very useful for that.  I kind of thought Wave might be used for the same thing, but I think most business users saw it more as a Facebook clone.

I did...once. I never got a hang of it though.

It's a bit sad considering the time and work that went into this.  It was a rather big project.  However, I never found it particularly interesting or useful.  I used it once and never went back.  But I guess that's more than I can say about Facebook or Twitter.

    It's been resurrected.

Google Wave to reappear as … Wave in a Box!

As I commented in the above link. I believe Tomb is more appropriate...

I'm glad to see it has been partially resurrected, it always seemed like a solution in search of a problem.  Maybe it will find a problem to solve.

Brilliant solution on Google's part to release the code to the public. It's very likely someone could take it it and do something really effective with it. Hate seeing good code just get put on the shelf.

"wave in the box" sounds like a Stereo and Sound system store.
