Playing poker using my tv as monitor
    « on: October 23, 2010, 09:51:37 AM »
Hi all. I would like to know if there is anyway to wirelessly use my new Vizio 42" flatscreen as a monitor so that i can play more poker tables at once.  My friend is trying to tell me we can just hook up our extra router to the tv and that would work but i dont think so. Please help.  The computer is a new Acer Aspire 7540-1284 Laptop. I told him HDMI cable would work but he wont listen. Thanks for all help and any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Only if you add a wireless adapter to the TV,
    i,e, http://www.amazon.com/Atlona-AT-HDAIR-Computer-Monitor-Wireless/dp/B002EPQGZW
This is USB, not ethernet, so the router is out.
Use the HDMI cable as you suggested.
