Firefox lately frequently updating

On 10/20/10, Firefox updated to 3.6.11 in my Windows 7 system.  Just now (after 10 p.m., 10/27/10), Firefox updated to 3.6.12 after a shutdown and restarting of Firefox.  And, as I recall, the version prior to 3.6.11 also had a rather short duration.

I've had 3 updates since yesterday...seems they may have rushed the latest fixes out prematurely...

I'm not sure what the question is. Firefox is releasing bug fixes or addressing security concerns with each release. Personally, I'm happy that they're on top of things.

Actually, no question, just commenting.  I agree it's good they're on top of things.

Are you sure thats Firefox and not an infected PC?

I have also been having my Firefox uopdated at least 5 or 6 times during the past month, I read recently that a security risk was found but I would probably think that the company is just trying to keep everything working properly.

In Tools/Options this can be set to how you like it...it;s not a bug.
