Ok so now we may have a problem with your optical burning device as well as the other issue. So now that you have the link to the ISO image you need i suggest go to another computer (such as your brother's--assuming it does work) and create your ISO on that computer and then bring it to yours and assuming yours works for "playing" (does it?) then runit on yours. truenorth
P.S. If your optical drive will not play or burn then the problem gets bigger.

      You need a new burner...
To confirm this without spending any cabbage borrow a known good one overnight.

That'll be harder than getting the CD's.

I dont know anyone with a burner.

Is there a place you can borrow one? Cause I dont know of any and I dont know anyone who has one.

My brother doesn't have a computer anymore, and I dont know of anyone with a burner.

I've tried emailing the owner of the shop, but my email wont go through. Keeps getting a delivery failure.

I know it doesn't help but i hope you didn't pay too much for that computer? I would run not walk to the "local shop" and take the computer with me and tell them the issues and to make it right or refund your money. By the way just out of curiosity were you ever able to play anything from your optical drive? truenorth

Im thinking about doing that, however Im kind of worried that he'll remove my stuff. My brother promised to get me a 1tb external hdd for my birthday, that was in september. I dont really wanna lose alot of my stuff, (At least need to keep essentials). The guy specializes is the cleaning and stuff like that.

Now whats an optical drive? I dont know what that is so I guess I wouldn't know if I could or not.

            CD/DVD drive.

Yes, I believe so. Thing about FoM is that its a downloadable client. Most of my other games I dont play so I wouldn't really notice. But I have used it and it worked. I can recheck too.

The burning and reading lasers are separate. you can have a burner that is broken but still able to read without problems.

So you think the burning lazers may be broken? Cause I use that drive to play games and it works fine, but it never burns. That could be the problem to the burning.

Weirdly, I just played a session of like 2 hours and it didn't do it. I dont know why. Im not going to dismiss the case as solved as theres still aparently that problem with my sound driver and it still could happen. Imma start playing more and see if it keeps up though.

Hmm, some reason I cant modify my post...

Anyway, after a few tests I still keep having the same problem.

Do you guys recommend telling the owner of the shop and seeing if he can fix it? Maybe he knows something? He used to be an Aircraft Technician before he went into the business, if its his build he should have some idea. We bought from him so he should be able to help, do you guys think we should do that?

                  Things to consider......

How long ago did you buy the machine off him?

Do you still have a reciept?
                  11 cheers for binary !

You are going to have to start making some of your own decisions soon before you run out of time.I have already told you to do that. Are you now conducting a poll to see if the majority agrees with that suggestion. What you know is that a variety of the components of the computer don't work or don't work well. Things you want to do you cannot. The window of opportunity for return may be very limited. There is no guaranty that returning it for repair or replacement or refund will be successful. However at least 2 things are guarantied
1.If you don't try you will never know and
                    2. As time passes your chances of a good outcome diminish.

@Red - It was quite some months ago.

I can see if I can find a receipt somewhere.

@True - Yeah, Im basically asking everyone if they think I should I should go to the shop owner. Wether or not Its still under gurantee, he should and usually does repair it, it'll just cost. If I do I'll save up and do that because I know he should be able to repair it. I just wonder if you guys think I should take it to the owner and tell him my problems and see if he'll fix em.

Borrow a working CD drive from him.
