    word documents

Hi, I am using microsoft office 2000 and all of a sudden when I want to use a word document no toolbars appear above the typing box. So I cant use bold, italics etc. I un-installed the programme and then re-installed and still nothing is happening. Can someone suggest what I can do?

Right-Click an empty area of the Menu bar, then check off "Standard" at least.

Or, Right-Click the menu bar, choose customize, select the "standard" item from the list, then press "Reset".

I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Hi BC Programmer- I have tried both when I right click the only options I get is restore, minimise etc. For option 2. There is no menu bar so I cant choose standard.

Well, since you can't actually turn off the menu bar, I don't know.

You mgiht somehow be in full screen mode. ESC can be used to get out of full screen.

Otherwise, you could try some of the suggestions here:
