Booting Hp Mini with Windows 7 USB

PLEASE HELP!!! i take classes online and i need my computer to work. i have tried alot of things.

My Hp mini doesnt have a place for a cd. and i dont have the external one. when i cut my computer on it says, " Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem 1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer. but i dont have a place for a dics!!!
but i do however have a 4GB usb flash drive. How can i boot my computer with the flash drive??? please give me a link or a 'how to' in detail. Thanks

You can boot your computer from USB, but of course you have to have windows installed on your USB drive first. I think it would be easier for you to just buy a USB CD drive and boot from that.

thats what i was trying to avoid. i have a home computer with the same windows....can i instal windows from the home computer? if so how?

No. You need the CD and a license specifically for the laptop.

You can use any Windows CD as long as you have a valid license key, but you WILL need a cd drive
