I am not quite sure what any of these errors mean, they may be very  game specific.

Have you tried patching the game?

Is this a legal version?

I bought the game for my daughter from a shop. Thought i would try on here first before i consider taking it back. Thanks anyway. By the way, i have received lots of help from this forum and wanted to make a donation to the site. Is that possible?

I do not think you can, but you can always send the administrator your thanks.  :)

Have you tried reinstalling the game first? Uninstall it first from the Software panel.

To give it the best chance of working you should have the latest directx (9.0C I think), and the latest video & sound drivers from their respective manufacturer's websites. (Not Microsoft)
Then select Start>Run & type dxdiag and make sure all is OK.

What version of Direct X do you have installed?

I assume you tried copying your error into Google and saw a the correction containing DirectX6, yes?

I saw a directx troubleshooter on the help files for the game and thought nothing of it until i saw the word "direct" in the error message so i put 2 and 2 together and probably came up with 124! lol.
I have just encountered another problem now aswell.
I tried to download the latest version of direct x and i have just found out that i am not running a genuine version of windows!  :-[
    AAARRRGGHH!

You will find directX on the net I think.
Get it from a reputable looking site.
