    Hp Installer Has Stopped Working

    I am trying to install my network printer driver on my windows 7 laptop. does someone have a solution? I know the driver works because i have it installed on another windows 7 laptop.

    Are both laptops 32-bit, or is one 64-bit?  Drivers are different.

      they are both 64. the one that it wont install to is an acer and the one that works is a toshiba

      Computer brand doesn't matter.  What is the printer make & model?

      If the printer is USB...you need to 1st uninstall it in Device Manager....then remove the HP software in Add/Remove...then re-boot with the printer disconnected to re-install...

              its is a network cuz i had it setup with a cat 5 cable directly from the printer to my router so i could connect to our old xps we had

                  For driver install, plug directly into laptop.  If successful, then add router.
