Reinstalled XP with the CD that came with my Inspiron 6000.
When I click on Network Connections - or on "Network adapters" in Device Manager - I only see the 1394 Net Adapter, not the NIC or the wireless that were there, oh, yesterday.
I would have thought that they (the NIC and wireless) would have installed automagically? Or do I need to go dig through the basement and find the disc labelled "This is the one you really wanted, numbskull"?
What do I do?
Thanks

Bonus Question:
Under "Other Devices" in Device Manager, all of the devices have big yellow block question marks with excalamation points overlaid:
- Ethernet Controller
- Multimedia Audio Controller
- Network Controller
- PCI Modem
- Video Controller
- Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
I figure I need to update those drivers? Which, of course, lacking connection to an Internet significantly slows down...
