Can an app run on anything else?
« on: November 11, 2011, 09:44:34 PM »
There is an app I love that runs on my Ipod touch.  I thought about buying an Ipad but they just aren't big enough.  Is there anything else that will run the app but bigger?  Or, another device to use?  Like, I don't know, my computer somehow or another apple product?

You might like to look at this:
Videos of The apple iPad
It is very, very popular and the chance of its major applications to from the iPad over to Windows® is less than penguins to migrate to Panama.

The Intel or AMD desktops computers are x86 type machines.  Most small portable devices are ARM type machines. The code is not compatible.Nor do the movers and shakers ever want then to be. Just something we lowly users dream about.

What you're looking for is an emulator for iPad. There is one available as part of an SDK, but it will only allow you to use your apps on a mac.

Well, it depends on the app.  Apple has developed the Mac App Store where you can use the apps (some full screen) on your computer.  So, do a software update (if you haven't already) and click the App Store icon in your dock. (Or click the apple symbol and click Mac App Store.) Then search for your app and see if the app you wanted is there.  PLEASE NOTE: This only works on Mac.  If you have a PC, try to Google "Mac App Store download for Windows"

    Hope This Helps,
