    New Mother Boarde won't boot

    I am putting together a computer from spare parts I have around and I purchaced a used A open mx4sgi-4dn2 on E bay.  I cannot get the computer to boot. it will not boot from cd rom.  and It just keeps going around in a loop.  What can I do here.

    MBoard standoffs in place ? ?
    Thermal paste applied correctly ?
    PSU new or used ? ?

    Try a new optical drive as well...
    Unfortunately this happens with a ton of components purchased from eBay...not sayin the board is bad but double check the above 1st...you may also want to try it with only a single stik of RAM...

    You can start by giving a lot more details about the parts you have put together. Also, what do you mean by it keeps going around in a loop?
