I am having problems with using aweber.com website
    « on: May 01, 2012, 01:34:38 PM »
For several days I have had problems with aweber.com. When I go to the site it takes forever
to load up. Then when it does load up the whole website is text.  All the navigation links are text links.

It is very hard and slow to navigate the site...

I have called aweber's customer support and they have not a clue as to why I am having problems.

I have tried using Google Chrome, Explorer, Firefox, and Opera.  I still have the same problems.

I am not having any other problem at any other site that I visit.

It seems to happen only at awber.com

    Anybody got any clues?

I have regularly cleaned my pc with Ccleaner and run both superantispyware and malwarebytes, and I have done scans with Avast.

Superantispyware did find a couple of incidents of trojans and had removed them...

Could this be a malware problem? I am getting ready to do the whole malware removal
program you have listed in this website.

Last time I did the malware removal process it took me a couple of days so I thought that
maybe someone might have a suggestion before I begin the whole process..

I am running XP pro on my hp d530cmt ...

    I have 2.74 ram  Pentium 4 cpu 2.66 Ghz

    thanks guys

kleddon, don't expect much help.  :-\

(When there is an issue with just one web site it is often something that this forum will not get into. The site you mentioned has a very specific commercial purpose that is outside the general interests of most of the members at CH.)

I think this this is SPAM.

Since I did my last post I just had a problem with a couple of other websites..

3 or 4 of them kept timing out on me..

So maybe it is not just weber.com

Well, can you give the exact error message?
Please do not make any more references to that web site. The moderator will remove them.
Do you have a good AV program?
Do you use WOT or similar service?
Safe Browsing Tool | WOT](Web of Trust)

If WOT says a site is bad, you should avoid it. The web site your posted is a nefarious SPAM site and CH will not help with that.
Now if you are having problems with trusted sites, please say so. But do not post bad sties that will do possible harm to CH members.
Use WOT to see if a site is on their black list. If any site is on their black list, just don't go there.

No I am not using WOT or any other similar software..

I am going to trusted sites.  Aweber is a trusted site...

it loads but not correctly the whole website eventually loads

but as text only with text links for navigation.

Kapersky is a trusted site and shows me the message I pasted below..

I am using Avast for anti-virus,  and Comodo for firewall,

I just went to kapersky's website and I got this message...

        The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
            moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
            connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that BlazingFast is permitted to access the Web.

I have gotten the same message from a couple of other sites today...

Those messages are generated by the site, not your system.

Thanks for sharing. Spybot has received good reviews and is FREE. Others program like it are available.

As for Malwarebytes, make sure it is up to date. Just a day can make a difference. Same applies to other anti-malware.
