    Home group or work group ?

    I have a pc used only by me & only for communicating with others & the usual surfing. Should I use Home Group or Work group ?

    "communicating with others" how?  Are they in the same building?  Or, do you mean over the Internet?

      Sorry !  By communicating with others, I mean writing to friends & family, posting on favorite websites stuff like that. pc not used for work. I get the idea that work group would mean just that;used for work, while home group would mean using the pc the way I just described. Make sense ?

      The Home Group or Work Group generally have nothing to do with connecting to the Internet.  They relate to how computers in a home or office are networked together.  No need to worry about them unless you want to create a local network with other computers.  A reference: What is the difference between a domain, a workgroup, and a homegroup?
