The L was replaced by the 7 for today in honor of the birthday.

I really enjoy Google's creativity, even something as simple as changing the companies logo is a fun feature. For those who are not aware Google changes its logo for all major holidays, events, etc. In addition they have a listing of all their logos for those who have not seen them check it out:

The original post linked to the original Google Logo, which is constantly changing. Today it happened to changed to dots because it was celebrating Louis Braille, the creator of the Braille system that allows the blind to see.
