I have a problem with windows xp desktop which has gone on for 2 years but its more annoying than anything else. I start up tower which starts as normal then computer beeps and goes to black screen with message 'floppy diskette seek failure' strike the f1 to continue, f2 to run the setup utility.
I strike f1 and it then runs to log in screen which problem is then solved, but why should I have to strike f1 all the time? I have went into the setup and then into boot sequence and tried playing around with the order but it never solves anything. The only options it gives me are 1. Onboard SATA hard drive 2. Onboard or Usb cd-rom drive the other 3 options (onboard or usb floppy drive, onboard ide hard drive and usb device) are listed as 'not present'.
Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance
