mouse pointer not working!

Hi! Well,my mouse pointer is gone!:((( Please I need instant help. I had my computer returned today from a tech who fixed my microphone and when I connected the cables I turned on the computer but I realised I had forgotten my mouse and keyboard cables. So I connected them while my computer was booting and then I had a mouse pointer but it was freezed the keyboard was working. I restarted my computer a few times even turned off plugged it out of the power supply then plugged in turned on and nothing. After the first restart my mouse pointer disappeared and I ran all the possible hardware and power troubleshooters but it hasn't appeared. Only the hardware troubleshooter detected that hardware changes have not been detected or something like that strange.Pls help!:(((((

Power down...do a few restarts without the keyboard and mouse....
Power down again and re-connect them.
