so speaker sound
« on: November 14, 2005, 06:50:32 PM »
I had to move my pc yesterday and when I set it up and booted up, I had no sound coming from my speakers. I have CD player sound, but none on anything else.

Checked my sound card to see if it had come unseated. Its OK.

Any ideas??????????

Have checked cords, device manager, and reinstalled sound card.

Check to make sure that in sound properties that the right device is selected. Also check volume control. If that doesn' work try reinstalling the drivers for the sound card. You can test it by running Dxdiag and testing the sound from Direct X.

Dx for sounds failed.  Uninstalled and reinstalled twice.
