I can't send msn/outlook express mail
« on: November 16, 2005, 10:04:41 PM »
Hi .
I bought a new HP computer and it is a headache so far. I can't send msn/outlook express mail. My ISP is AOL and I am on dial-up. I get two error messages..
To cut them short it is :The host SMPT could not be found. Please verify that you entered the server name properly .acct:POP3Server SMPT;Protocol SMPT,PORT:
25, Secure (SSL):no,Socket error 1101 error 0x800CCC0D. Said failed local network
Also the same as above except error 119 in place of the 25 as above. Two error messages. If I try to send mail and yes, I have a hotmail acct set up, then AOL say's goodbye and that's that. I have been online with aoltechs and microsoft techs and nothing has worked. My computer is a month old. Any ideas?  :-[
