Blocks pop ups and more

i have a google pop up blocker and it blocks MOST pop ups, but then pop ups i want, like when i click a link and a new window opens, it blocks it and i cant get it. i tried turning it off and it still blocks it, do i have some unknows pop up blocker? plz help!
