    Trouble with zip files
    « on: May 15, 2019, 12:34:49 PM »
I just purchased a new PC laptop running Windows 10 and used it to download a zip file from a GitHub project page. The files are provided for transfer to an SD card, for an operation update in a control board of a 3D printer. After downloading the zip file I unzipped it. When I open it to send the files to an SD card they are all headed by a Microsoft explorer icon, not the usual standard file icon? If I try to open one of these files I get a message asking me if I want to allow this program to download the file? It seems the files are links to files not actual files. What is going on? (When I do the same thing using my old laptop also running Windows 10 the files are ordinary with conventional lead icon and I was able to move them to my SD card no problem) anyone know what’s going on with the new laptop??
