address book

My address book is locked.
when trying to send e-mail it tells me the address book did not load.
when I go to start.all programs>assessories>address book..it tells me that the address book has been locked by another application.
What applications use the address book?

That would depend on the programmes you are using.  A few examples are:  Outlook, Outlook Express, Word.

A wizard not only existed in King Authurs time, but is alive and well and lives in London.
There were more then one address books, and they were checked read only. I looked at the microsoft site and got sidelinded and never look at the whole thing. The answer was ther if I had only scrolled down.
