How to set, and limit a Guest account in Windows 10
    « on: September 01, 2019, 07:38:22 PM »
    Hi all

I have just set up a Guest account in Windows 10 using the Command Prompt instructions as listed on numerous websites such as here https://www.windowscentral.com/how-create-guest-account-Windows10 . I have read there is no Guest function in Windows 10 and as such this is the only way to set one up.

However, whilst the account works... when logged into this account (and logged OUT of main/administrator account) any search carried out finds the files that should be limited/hidden, such as all files on D drive, C drive etc.

How can the Guest account in Windows 10 be set up so that a guest can use the PC, but be limited and have no access to search, files and folders in D, etc? Or is there a better way to allow a 'guest' account for limited internet access without access to the rest of the PC?

    Thanks in advance.

You have to use Control Panel/Admin Tools to properly limit a Guest accounts access to your choosing...
