What's Going On?
« on: January 15, 2020, 04:40:40 PM »
As I understand it support and regular updates for Windows 7 was due to end on January 14. It is now 23:39 on January 15. I just noticed a little pop-up telling me I have an update or updates. Click to proceed or words to that effect.

Just prior to this I did a restart. During the restart I had a blue screen and message saying something like configuring Windows installing updates do not turn off your computer.

What the heck's going on?

It's the final update...let it finish.

I had another notification this morning saying I've got updates ready to be downloaded. Strange considering its 5 days since the end of support.

***sigh***

Let it finish the updates.

P.S. Contrary to all the doom/gloom articles you have read Win 7 will continue to run fine for many many years
