Site Access
« on: August 11, 2004, 11:06:39 AM »
I am having a problem accessing  several sites which I previously had no problem with.

The following occurs when I attempt access:

I receive a message as follows:

 "Microsoft Internet Explorer

Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page.  As a result, the page may not display correctly.

              OK"

Clicking on "OK" causes a second message to pop up:

  "Microsoft Internet Explorer

You must click YES to get access

             OK"

Unfortunately there is no "YES" to click on.

When I try to close or delete this message I am returned to the first message and eventually  into a closed loop jumping from message to message.  I must then go to Task Manager to shutdown this loop which in turn closes Internet Explorer.

I have not modified my security settings. I have tried with security set to minimum and Zone Alarm disabled with the same result.

I have also done a complete virus scan, cleaned all adware, spyware, and cookies, cleaned and optimized the registry, ran SFC and completed a repair installation of WinXP but the problem still exists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Restore your Internet settings to default. Perhaps something has modified it for you?

Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab in Internet Explorer

Or

Go to Start -> Settings -> Configuration -> Internet Options -> Advanced Tab
