Microphone is picking up sound from 2 days ago

I have a detachable microphone on my headphones and it has a separate microphone audio jack but not connected to the detachable microphone and so I unplugged and plugged it from time to time when I have no time to mute on screen and now its not picking up my mic and its also playing muffled sounds I remember making 2 days ago and I tried redownloading my microphone driver and it still bugs
