    Which one is better?
    « on: November 24, 2021, 12:13:14 PM »
Hi, so I bought a new laptop and I want to buy an antivirus for it. However, I am really hesitated between which antivirus is better, I was thinking and comparing between these two antivirus. Is Bitdefender antivirus is better than Kaspersky or there is no difference. I am looking for the one than can make it hard for a hacker to hack my computer and also I want also to protect my laptop from malware and other viruses that may affect my laptop. So, which one is better? Kaspersky or Bitdefender or it doesn't matter?

Win 10 comes with Windows Defender which is your AV. You really don't need anything more.

+1 to what SuperDave said. The AV that comes with Windows 10 is plenty these days and its very good at catching issues.

My UK bank offered its online banking customers a free license to Malwarebytes Premium, up to 10 devices. It's currently a rolling license until or unless the bank decides 'not to renew its arrangement with Malwarebytes'. Personally if I had not had the offer I would have been perfectly content with Window 10 Defender, however I took the freebie mainly because if I ever have a dispute with the bank, at least I can say to them that I did everything that they asked security-wise. Of course they also require that I exercise common sense and caution, and to some extent you need antivirus in your head.

MBAM and Defender are a great package together...MBAM has a free home edition.

One of my banks offers a free version of Trusteer Endpoint protection and I can use it on any website I wish.
