Windows 7 Starter Refuses to update
« on: December 30, 2021, 11:13:42 PM »
Greetings,

Have a old netbook that i did a factory reset on. Has Windows 7 Starter and seems to be snappy enough for a cheap little internet machine. However, it keeps shooting an error at trying to update. Is there anything i can do to force it to update?

Thanks in Advance.

Often when you load a old image of windows 7 you can have problems installing updates.
Microsoft has a tool to help fix this called the windows update readness tool.
You can download the version for your windows either 32 or 64 bit from here https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=947821

THANK YOU.

its been a few weeks so im sorry about the late reply. however one of these did work, and it triggered all 195 and some odd updates to flow in, allowing modern web browsing and such to work.

Thank you kindly.
