    The bios only needs to support eufi if the drive is the boot drive. If you convert the drive to GPT as a data drive no problem.

      At the moment it's split into two partitions; one is 2047.51 GB, the other 7266 GB. I swapped the 10tb drive from another computer which stopped working. There isn't an option for uefi in the bios. It's the only drive with boot.  Does this mean I can't make one gpt partition?

      Forgot to add, the 7266 GB partition is currently unallocated.
