    « on: August 14, 2004, 03:09:03 PM »
I'm running WinXP Pro in classic view mode. I've got 128 ram and a pentium IV. Sometimes I get the following error messege. :)

So, here's the nasty message that returns after the blue screen (it's always the same)

The system has recovered from a serious error.

    Error signature:
    BCCode : c2     BCP1 : 00000007     BCP2 : 00000CD4     BCP3 : 01060200
    BCP4 : E17F0008     OSVer : 5_1_2600     SP : 1_0     Product : 256_1

    Error Report Contents:
    C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini032603-01.dmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\rd.000\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER2.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

:)Thanks for your advice. I think its time to increase the RAM. But I have RD RAM and the slot cannot fit SD or DDR RAM chip. What can I do? May be I have to change the motherboard.

More RAM is not required, but will certainly speed things up.

WinXP requires a minimum of 64MB, but 128MB is recommended.

If you don't believe me, read it for yourself.

he does have a p4 and needs to have the  ram to support it? for example ferrari engine with square wheels.......and the error is is getting  is a cause of not enough ram....winxp will do this to survive...dratul does this happen quite often?

dratul.....RD ram is certainly available.......next the error message your getting refers to a java problem I think ( not 100% sure) Do you have Microsoft virtual machine installed or are you using java from sun systems ?

some one suggested to start system in safe mode and to do following things.

            delete WER1.tmp.dir00
            delete all in C\WINDOWS\minidump folder
in DOS check the disk by typing chkdsk /f

But I could not start in safe mode. it said there is some problem.

dratul.....To check to see if you have java installed.......open your browser......click on tools , then Internet options.....now click on the Advanced tab.....scroll down and look at the list of items you should see either Java (sun) with a tick in the box or Microsoft VM with a tick in one of its boxes.

Java(Sun) is ticked in my settins. Under Microsoft VM option 'JIT compiler for VM enabled' is selected. Also sometimes I start my computer it get stuck up when the command DEL to enter command set up or ESC. comes up. Even i press DEL or ESC computer doesn't starts.
