How to pick and choose which Win 10 updates to install?

Recently I checked if I had any Win 10 updates to install, and found 6 updates available...Microsoft Defender, Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, 3 Cumulative Update for Windows, and Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1.

Not sure why my system didn't notify me when all those updates were first available?

They are just sitting there with 'Status:Downloading-0%

Maybe if I try downloading one at time, it might work?

How do I choose(if possible) which one to do first? I remember Win 7 having an option that would let you pick which updates you wanted.

    Thanks!

I downloaded the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5027215) from the Microsoft site, as  windows10.0-kb5027215-x64_45971faad5d92b3fe36347a915dd7144b7f3f0c0.msu.

Do I double click it, like a .exe file?
