Where are people turning for hope these days?

While you are correct that the forums are VERY quiet, your questions will still be responded to. Super Dave is still monitoring the Malware forum and many of our "old timers" are still around to help with other issues. But if you want a very active help forum, you can try BleepingComputer.com.
