Okay. ^^ I've only had to run diagnostics once (about 7 years or more ago), so I didn't know where/how they were supposed to be done. Maybe the MaxBlast bootdisk already has a diagnostic on it?

QuoteI agree, and I do my best to keep my hubby's system protected, but sometimes hubris gets the best of even the safest people. ^^You are telling me. Some of these places buy in drives that have been on the wholesaler's shelf for years dirt cheap, the product of massive over-production.Find a more reliable source.

Have you got the latest BIOS for the motherboard?
QuoteHave you got the latest BIOS for the motherboard?I'm double checking, but I believe I do. Does the BIOS install with a bootdisk?
Support for bigger hard drives - The BIOS allows the motherboard to accept hard drives up to a certain size. Since you got the computer, the maximum size for hard drives has increased. You decide to install a newer and bigger hard drive, but the BIOS does not recognize it or only recognizes part of the drive. Upgrading the BIOS can resolve this problem.

Okay. I'm checking the CD that came with the motherboard to see if it says what version of the BIOS it has or see if it has an update on it at all, since PowerMax is still running it's check. ^^;

Ooookay, I ran the PowerMax diagnostics (currently running the 'Burn-In Test', but I've ran everything else), and everything passed and it even said, 'Certified error free!'
