Ram Question...

I just got a new 128mb stick of sdram, and I am wondering if there is anything that i need to do before installing it. Any info would be great

can your motherboard take it? is it the same as your old one?...if the questions asked are true...switch of the  pc from the mains...* CAUTION IS NEEDED  HERE*>touch the case unscew the case and with a clean cloth or rubber gloves place the ram stick in the bank next to the old one..and  re-screw the case back on and power up the pc.. if you are unsure and dont feel confident in doing this....get someone that is...

  • See if your mainboard supports the RAM
  • Make sure the RAM is identical to the other RAM installed (Size does not matter in this case..)
  • Completely unpower your PC, disconnect from power socket
  • Remove static electricity from your hands
  • Install the RAM carefully.
