Hdd access problem

Hello again everyone, i had 2 computers with windows xp and decided to sell one and keep the hard drive as a slave to my remaining computer. problem has it, i had a password to log onto windows. so now, when i try to go into my documents and settings on the slave it says access is denied. is there ANY way i can get the information off that hard drive? any help greatly appreciated!

and by the way, i saw that tech website that copied CH, thats some *censored*!

Put it in as master and boot, Remove the password protection, Then put it as slave again and you should be able to access everything.

it doesn't work. i set the jumpers on the hard drive to Master, and cable select but the computer keeps restarting over and over again.

What Version of XP are you using , if its XP Pro you should be able to login as administrator and Take Ownership of Files and Change the Permissions

on pro just right click on a file and goto properties, then open the security tab add a user , and give him full control

and I'm not sure how to do that on XP home
