how can i know my computers ip in XP professional..?

Type My IP in Google. This usually does the job. Unless you  are using a proxy.

 freek.......If you want your ip address .......click start / run/ then type cmd and Enter..........at the prompt ........type      ipconfig    and Enter.......and there it is .........If you want to see what your Physical address ( MAC address is )  at the prompt type..........ipconfig/all
and Enter .......now you will see you physical address ( Mac) as well as the ip address .
